Haven’t heard from Tinie Tempah in awhile? Me neither. If he’s been hiding away making more tracks like this one then consider me super excited. The bass that comes in during the chorus is just beautiful. Is it Pop? Hiphop? House? I have no idea. I love songs that blend the lines.
Michael Calfan – Treasured Soul
Whoa. This song is epic. Taking a cue from Duke Dumont and Kygo, this track combines classic house style with a modern “tropical” house sound to recreate the perfect summer house dance track. Loving it.
Zac Brown Band – Homegrown
A damn catchy song. Repeat listens are inevitable on this new one. It won’t match their classic: “Chicken Fried” but this is certainly the catchiest track they’ve released since then.
Tonight Alive – Little Lion Man (Mumford and Sons Cover)
Randomly came across this gem the other day. It’s a really solid pop/punk cover of a song I already love. If you missed it like I did then enjoy.
John Hiatt – Have A Little Faith In Me
Soulful and sad. The sort of song you listen to when you’re feeling a bit down and by the end of the track you’re already feeling better. A song that can do that is the definition of a well written song.
Hunter Hayes feat. Jason Mraz – Everybody’s Got Somebody But Me
Possibly my favorite track from Hunter Hayes. Super catchy, and with a great feature as well. Can’t go wrong.
Eric Church – Hell On The Heart
Took me a couple listens before I got into this one, but in the end it’s just a really well written track.
Ella Eyre – Good Times
My favorite sort of Drum&Bass. The kind you can play to someone that has never heard the genre and their going to just get it. Really fun, very danceable, and a fantastic summer treat!
Carly Rae Jepsen – Run Away With Me
My favorite track off her really solid album “Emotion.” It’s super poppy in all the right ways. Have fun trying to only play this once.
Bomba Estereo – Fuego
They have a relatively new release featuring a recently-out-of-retirement Will Smith, but this is the song that started it all and certainly my favorite. Enjoy!
