Caribou – Can’t Do Without You (Lenno Remix)

I added a track remixed by Finnish producer Lenno last week, but since then a second song has really grown on me. It’s a little cheesy, and that initially turned me off to it, but after further listening I think the full-on pop sound is a very deliberate attempt to turn the ambient and gritty original by Caribou on its head. Give it a shot, I bet you’ll keep hitting repeat.

Funkerman – Coming Home

Fedde Le Grand’s Flamingo Records partner has been busting out fantastic house records under the radar for over a decade. His newest release sums up his knack for combining old samples into a thriving and rollicking good modern house track. Keep it up!

Clark – Christo

The house music pioneer Mark Bell (LFO, Bjork, Depeche Mode) passed away earlier this month and I just came across yet another example of his amazing work that I had to share. It’s unbelievable that this track came out in 1995. It still sounds fantastic today. Check it out below and grab a copy of your own here.

David Moleon – San Salvador

It took me awhile to finally post this one. I wasn’t sure if it was appropriate for the site, but in the end, it’s music, and it does make me smile every time I watch the video. The song eventually sticks in your head too, although it isn’t really my favorite genre. Anyways, the track accompanying the video is “San Salvador” by David Moleon, and you can grab it without the funny dancing here. Enjoy!

Don Diablo – Knight Time

This track feels old in a really good way. The production quality is certainly current, but damn if it doesn’t seem like this was made in the late 80s or early 90s in Chicago. The track just has that great classic Chicago House sound. Really digging it. A simple bass-line, edgy synths, hand claps, prototypical female yell, and when the open hi-hats enter at one minute in…Yeeow! Grab a copy for yourself right here.
